Refund Policy

LIGHTHOUSE COFFEE & MERCANTILE – REFUND POLICY

1. Food & Beverage Sales

  • All brewed drinks, bottled beverages, grab-and-go items, and prepared foods are final sale.

  • We will replace or refund a food or drink item only if required by applicable law (for example, documented contamination or a manufacturing recall).

  • If you are unhappy with the taste or temperature of a beverage while you are still in the café, please let us know immediately—at our discretion we’ll remake it once, but no cash or card refund will be issued.

2. Merchandise Sold by Lighthouse

  • Refunds or exchanges are available only for merchandise that we own and brand ourselves (e.g., Lighthouse-logo mugs, T-shirts, tumblers).

  • Eligibility conditions:
    • The item is defective in materials or workmanship and
    • You contact us within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase (digital receipt or original paper receipt).

  • Accepted resolutions (our choice):
    • Exchange for the same item (if in stock)
    • Store credit in the amount paid
    • Refund to the original payment method

  • “Defective” means the product arrives damaged, has a manufacturing flaw, or fails under normal use. Wear-and-tear, misuse, or accidental damage are not covered.

3. Third-Party or Consignment Products

  • Goods supplied by guest artists, independent makers, or other vendors are non-refundable and non-exchangeable through Lighthouse.

  • Any warranty or remedy provided by the maker will be listed on the product tag or insert; please contact the vendor directly.

4. How to Request a Refund or Exchange

  1. Email lighthousecoffeeandmercantile@gmail.com with:

    • Subject line “Refund Request – [Order # or Date]”

    • Your name and contact info

    • Item description and clear photos of the defect (for merchandise claims)

  2. We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days.

  3. Approved returns must be brought or shipped (at your expense) to:
    Lighthouse Coffee & Mercantile, 901 S. Maiden Ln, Joplin MO 64801

  4. Once we verify the defect, we will process the exchange, store credit, or refund within 7 business days.

5. Non-Refundable Costs

  • Shipping fees and gift-wrap charges are non-refundable unless we shipped the wrong or defective item.

  • Gift cards and digital download products are final sale.

6. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights you may have under Missouri or federal law. If those laws require a remedy beyond what is stated here, we will comply.
